Holiday Homework Awards

At MCES, students are given holiday homework that encourages them to use their imagination and apply the language skills they have learned at school to create their own little booklets. This activity not only helps students deepen their understanding of the Chinese language, but also enhances their creativity as they craft their Holiday Homework projects.

Mother's Day Performance

At MCES, we have always celebrated Mother’s Day, as we believe that mothers are the most important people in the family. Each year, we hold a special Mother’s Day performance on the Saturday that aligns with Mother’s Day. During this celebration, children perform poems, songs, and dances to show their appreciation. We take this opportunity to thank all mothers for raising children and supporting them in every way.

Teacher Professional Development Day

At MCES, we believe that teachers play a crucial role in student learning. We provide opportunities for our teachers to grow professionally and personally to better support our students. Teachers are encouraged to attend meetings and Professional Development (PD) Days as often as possible, both within and outside the school. PD Days are held once a term to ensure our teachers stay up-to-date with the latest curriculum and develop innovative strategies to engage students in learning Chinese effectively.

School Anniversary Celebration

Since its establishment in 1975, MCES has proudly provided Chinese language education to the broader community. In 2025, we celebrated our 50th anniversary, marking five decades of supporting anyone interested in learning Chinese and exploring a new language. At MCES, learning a language is more than just mastering words; it is about understanding customs, culture, and people. Each year, our teachers work with students to choreograph performances for this special event. The celebration is always held during Term 4, towards the middle to end of the term, and the exact date will be announced closer to the event. All parents and guardians are warmly invited to attend and celebrate with us.
